My fascination in photography began with a disposable Walgreens camera while on vacation in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Being fairly young, I aimlessly attempted to capture the people, color and light around me. Now, with a passion in visual storytelling and better cameras, I still find great excitement and hope in looking through my camera's viewfinder.

I am currently a Detroit-based independent visual journalist.

Previously, I interned with The Flint Journal, The Dallas Morning News, The Star Tribune, The Baltimore Sun, The Daily Camera and The Annapolis Capital Gazette. I graduated from Ithaca College with a B.A. degree in Documentary Studies, attended the Eddie Adams Workshop XXVII in 2014 and the Missouri Photo Workshop in 2015.

Rachel specializes in documentary, editorial and portrait photography. She is currently based in Detroit, MI and available for assignments.
